Michael Jackson O2 setlist

Michael Jackson will perform hits including Thriller, Beat It and Smooth Criminal at his London O2 shows, it has been reported.

The King of Pop plans to open his set with the bass-heavy classic Billie Jean and run through 16 of his most popular songs, the Daily Mirror claims.
The news will delight the hundreds of thousands of fans who have already secured tickets to his residency at the south east London venue this summer.

Promoters AEG Live had feared that Jackson would opt to sing many of his more recent tracks, which have been poorly received by critics.
But the newspaper claims that the 50-year-old has already decided to treat fans to the best of his back catalogue.
"Bosses were concerned that Michael might veer away from his greatest hits. He wanted to guarantee that this would not be the case and produced the list to reassure them," it quoted a source as saying.
"He's toying with the idea of doing a Jackson 5 as well, and he'll open with a four minute long into to Billie Jean."
Tickets to the shows have already sold out, despite nine more dates being added during the presale.
Organisers said demand for his This Is It shows, which Jackson announced himself at a press conference last Thursday, had been overwhelming.
The original 10 dates ran between July 8 and July 28 but yesterday morning organisers added another nine, with dates running until August 26.
Although all tickets have now been sold, organisers have said to expect further announcements.
