Garuda contents Abandoned JAL Markets

PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) as the sole national airline to fly to Japan now bagging the rights to fly as many as 14 times per week through Tokyo's Narita Airport. Was only seven flights per week.

Just a flashback, Japan Airlines Corp. (JAL) to cut the frequency of its flights to Indonesia. Effective as of October 1, 2010, JAL will close its direct flights to Bali and reduce flights to Jakarta. Overall, JAL will close 50 domestic flights and international routes.

Vice President Corporate Communications Garuda Pujobroto ensure that the airline will take advantage of the market share left by JAL.

"Garuda to open the direct flight route from Jakarta to Narita from November 2010 to take over the route from Jakarta to Tokyo JAL abandoned. We are also currently in the process of asking permission to open a direct route from Jakarta to Tokyo for business people," he explained.
