Its existence has not been confirmed, and some observers claimed that they have observed contrary to what is claimed for this phenomenon is felt. [1]

The phenomenon of people who claimed to comply with the temporary is that Google will reduce the new page rank domain, placing them into what is called a "sandbox", in an effort to counter the way search engines are trying to manipulate Google's page ranking site to bring up, by creating many inbound links to new web site from web pages of their own before making a web site. A "reverse sandbox" effect is also claimed to have, where new pages with content but with no inbound links while increasing in rank, much like the "New Releases" in a bookstore is displayed more clearly, to encourage organic from building the World Wide Web. David George disputes the claim, made by some, that Google is sandboxing applies to all new web site, which states that "it seems not born of experience". He stated that he set up a website in October 2004 and had he ranked 20th on Google for targeted keyword results at 1 month. He avers that "[n] o one knows for sure the Google sandbox if any", and commented that "as if in accordance with the observations and experients various search engines". He theorizes that the sandbox "has introduced some hysteresis into the system to restore a little sanity into the Google results". [1]

Matt Cutts has stated in an interview (included in further reading) that "[t] here are some things in the algorithms that can be regarded as a sandbox that does not apply to all industries. Jaimie Sirovich and Cristian Darie stated that they believe that while Google did not really have an explict "sandbox", the effect itself, but caused, is real. [2]
