We have not advanced students to write scientific papers. Maybe I can generalize further, students not proficient writing. Point. Very cruel huh?
The main problem for students is that they underestimate the writing. Considered writing it just sort of words. Or write the more extreme sort letters. a i u e o. For them, choosing the word is not important. Though different words have different meaning and effect to the reader. "You're wrong" or "you are not quite right" has a different effect, is not it?
Pouring thought process in writing a trace is a challenge. We can not mix everything in one piece. For food, hodgepodge had to be selected what will be mixed. If hodgepodge mixed with squid and seems so chaotic. he he he.
Even to write in a format that consistent there are many who do not understand. Though the writing is not pleasing to the eye will result in poor grades because the reader already antipathy first. It should be content that is more important, but appearance is in fact the one who opened the door to the reader. Once the doors open, we handed it. How does the reader or examiner will check our writing if the "door" closed?
So how do we be able to write good scientific papers (and beautiful)? Practice, practice, and practice writing. The next question is how to keep these exercises fun so we do it? It is a topic of discussion on another occasion.
