HP's acquisition of 3Com U.S. $ 2.7 billion

Jakarta - Hewlett-Packard (HP) claimed to have completed the acquisition of 3Com Corporation at a price of U.S. $ 7.90 per share or U.S. $ 2.7 billion.

With this acquisition, HP will integrate network solutions, switching, routing and security solutions 3Com with HP ProCurve, thus creating a comprehensive portfolio that is claimed to subscribers.

Together with HP's global reach, it is said would strengthen its portfolio of infrastructure strategy, developed through the merging servers, storage, networking, management, facilities and services that vendors from the United States.

"With this merger, customers will be able to simplify its network, implement the best network structure for the company and improve IT service delivery capabilities," said HP issued a statement on Tuesday (13/4/2010).
