Praying in Ramadan

Rules for shoum in the month of Ramadan has been ordained by God Almighty in Surat al-Baqara from paragraph 183 to paragraph 187. Almost all of these verses are the words shoum:

* (Al-Baqarah 183)
* (Al-Baqarah 184)
* (Al-Baqarah 185)
* (Al-Baqarah 187)

Only 186 verses that do not contain the words shoum:

"And when My servants ask thee concerning Me, then (answer): behold, I was close. I granted the request of people who pray when she pleaded to me, then let them meet (all My commandments) and let them believe in Me, so they are always in truth. "

Laying this verse among the verses about shoum Ramadan is not without purpose. If asbabun nuzul judging from this paragraph is about the arrival of an Arab Bedouin to the Prophet who asked: "Did our Lord is near, so we can Munajat / pleading to him, or far away, so we must call on Him?" The Prophet SAW silent, to come down to this paragraph. (Narrated by Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, Ibn Marduwaih, Abussyaikh and others).

According to another narration, this paragraph with respect to the word down Rasulullah SAW: "Do not be discouraged in prayer, because God Almighty has said, 'Ud'uni astajib Lakkum' (pray ye unto Me, surely I mengijabahnya)" (Sura 40:60 ). Said one of them: "O Prophet! Does God hear our prayers or what? "In response, this verse came down (Narrated by Ibn 'Asakir sourced from Ali.)

According to Sayyid Qutb in his book FII Zhilalil Quran, God's direct answer about the existence of very close and directly says that He will grant all our prayers. In this section there are three requirements for the receipt of a prayer. First, these prayers are being said to him, should directly. So let us not pray to God like a genie creature, graves or trees. And if prayer would be better if the prayer is spoken directly to him. Conditions both in prayer is that we must fulfill all the commandments of Allah SWT. Like when a child should follow the advice / orders parents to get what they want. Who's the third requirement is that we must believe in Him so that our prayer is accepted.

Although section 186 does not contain the word shoum, but placement of this verse shows the importance we pray during Ramadan. This is in accordance with the hadeeth of the Prophet SAW:

"People who have fasting prayer is efficacious in time to break the fast." (Narrated by Imam Abu Dawud)

Or in another hadith, the prophet PBUH said:

"There were three people who will not be denied her prayer that is a fair leader, someone who is fasting so that he broke and the persecuted. Their prayers are appointed by God under a cloud on her Day of Judgement and opened the gates of heaven and God said, 'By my glory, I will help you even after a time' "(Reported by Imam Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah Nasai)

Thus, the urgency of prayer in Ramadan because it increases the likelihood of our prayers accepted. So we pray perbanyaklah in the month of Ramadan. May Allah receive our prayer.

Bish Wallahua'lam showab.
